The Nuova Rivetteria Bolognese company, operating since 1960 in the market of fasteners (screws, bolts, nuts, rivets, eccentrics, etc.), is located in Italy more precisely in Vergato in the Province of Bologna, and operates throughout Europe.

The production of fasteners is carried out through a cold plastic deformation process in which there is no removal of material but starting from a piece of round wire arrives by modifying the shapes to the finished screw.

NRB sought the supports of NewSkin OITB to implement and test new coatings on their existing equipment to try to increase equipment life, reduce the waste of used tools and gain greater yield and efficiency in their production system. NewSkin OITB partner TECNALIA, are servicing this demo-case in their state-of-the-art facilities.

If this NewSkin OITB demo-case project is successful, NRB will gain advantage in production efficiency in addition to less wasted raw materials and lower equipment maintenance/replacement costs.
