This paper is the result of a joint collaboration with OITB FORM PLANET. In it, the authors prove for the first time that the forming process of metallic surfaces textured with LIPSS does not affect the material’s mechanical properties or the surface morphology, i.e., the surface functionality itself. Therefore, it is possible to convert a laser-functionalized surface into a 3D laser-functionalized product primed for industrial exploitation.
