CITRA is a French Research Organization with over 20 years of experience in industrial support, technology transfer and innovation in the field of advanced surface treatments. One of the main applications of surface treatments is to cover the tribological needs of a wide range of industries. In this context CITRA aimed to develop a high hardness coating with a low coefficient of friction that could be effective at high temperature. In order to progress, gain in maturity on the development of these thin coating architectures, CITRA used the ecosystem and services of NewSkin and submitted a demo-case project during the first Open Call to have access to wear testing in temperature. If the results in real conditions are encouraging, this will enable to continue the development.
