Use case

Development of laser-enabled technology for selective functionalization and modification of point-of care biosensors based on graphene

The main technological problem to be solved with the NewSkin services is related to the development of novel all-optical technology for high resolution, fast, scalable, and flexible processing of chemical and physical properties of two-dimensional materials. The ultrashort pulsed laser irradiation will provide the photochemical interaction with atomically thin materials locally tuning their optical, electrical, and chemical properties.

The technology principles will be demonstrated by processing the graphene field effect transistors (GFETs) and tuning its’ electrical properties by femtosecond laser irradiation. Novel photochemically assembled biosensors based on GFETs to detect toxins in food and water will be produced with developed method.
