NewSkin at Aquatech Amsterdam 2023
Published on 05 Dec 22:09 (about 1 year ago) by AquaTTOur team was delighted to partake in Aquatech Amsterdam 2023 (6-9 Nov). NewSkin OITB partner Fiona Regan (DCU Water Institute) had the NewSkin Water related technologies flyers on hand for all those interested!! Thanks to all who joined us to discuss how our unique H2020 funded NewSkin OITB pilot scale prototyping, upscaling, and testing facilities and route-to-market services can help research labs, startups, SMEs and industry to accelerate the commercialisation of innovative nano-surface, nano-coating and membrane materials and technology across Europe.

NewSkin water related technologies include:
- Nanocarbon media for membranes (Fraunhofer FEP) and nano-particles media on different substrates (Leitat Technological Center))
- Testing membranes with realistic wastewater streams (Technion - Israel Institute of Technology)
- Improving anti-fouling properties in both membranes and pumps (by means of texturing (AIMEN Centro Tecnológico and Dublin City University) and coating (Leitat Technological Center))
- Pumps – upscaling and testing nano-coatings and nano-surface technologies which can help fight corrosion, erosion, cavitation and mechanical damage, reducing wear to pumps’ pistons, propellers, cylinders, seals and other. (Closed cavitation test loop for centrifugal pumps (Dublin City University))
- Improving corrosion resistance and advanced coating and textures prevent scaling (by means of texturing (AIMEN Centro Tecnológico and Dublin City University) and coating (Leitat Technological Center))
