Bern University of Applied Science
The Bern University of Applied Science owns future-oriented key technologies for the development of modern, digitized processes for the manufacturing, modification and analysis of materials. In the ALPS research institute, we have broad expertise in cleaning and handling delicate parts, surface coating in clean room ISO6 facilities with (PVD/PECVD/ALD), structuring (photolithography, laser structuration, wet etching), and performing surface treatment (thermal, plasma).
Textured industrial components (gears, seals, gaskets, pistons, shafts, propellers…), Optics, Functional films (packaging and electronics), Nano-enabled flexible glass, plastic and metal (including flexible electronics, Photovoltaics, heat exchangers and electrochromic envelopes), Nano-enabled surfaces for energy storage, Nano-enabled elements for blades and composites
Laser, PVD and CVD (including R2R)
Harsh industrial conditions, Climate chamber
